We are excited to collaborate with Dr. Chelsey Armstrong and the Historical and Ethnoecological Research (HER) Lab at SFU as part of the ongoing research on the reclamation and revitalization of Indigenous Forest Gardens. Learn more about Dr. Armstrong’s work and the Indigenous Forest Gardens.

Our contributions to the forest garden research include studying plant-soil interactions and soil processes along with Dr. Jean-Thomas (JT) Cornelis and the SoilRes3 Lab here at UBC.

Our work to Indigenize and re-story ecological restoration is often in collaboration with Dr. Tara Martin’s Conservation Decisions Lab here at UBC.

Our work to explore the use of GiS and drone technologies to manage invasive and culturally important plant species on a landscape level, particularly after wildfire, is in collaboration with Dr. Nicholas Coops’ Integrated Remote Sensing Studio.

As our research is entirely in service to Indigenous communities, we are fortunate to be co-researchers alongside: Lillooet Tribal Council, St’at’imc Government Services, Ts’kw’aylaxw First Nation, Xwisten First Nation, T’it’q’et First Nation, Cowichan Tribes, Sts’ailes First Nation, Kitselas First Nation, Metlakatla First Nation, and Nlaka’pamux Nation Tribal Council.
